Committee Functions
Functions of the committee are to:

Implement recruitment and selection policy;

Receive recruitment requests from authorized departmental officers; and review to ensure they conform with the County Governments Act 2012, Civil Service Code of Regulations, various schemes of Service, departmental structures and other relevant government circulars;

Prepare Budgetary allocation;

Prepare job advertisements;
-
Advertise jobs in at least one daily newspaper with a wide circulation;

Receive, file and summarize applications received;
-
Prepare guiding notes/criteria to the preliminary selection sub committees;
-
Short list applicants for interview;
-
Schedule interviews and invite short listed candidates;
-
Prepare interview questions;
-
Compose interview panels;
-
Undertake interviews;
-
Preparation and submission of interview report including list of recommended candidates for review by the Committee;
-
Submission of interview report to the Board for approval and appointment of successful candidates;
-
Regularly update the applicant’s data base;
-
Undertake exit interviews;
-
Prepare annual County Public Service staff turnover reports;
-
Ensure diversity, inclusiveness and equity at the work place as per article 10 (2) (b) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010;
-
Develop and submit quarterly reports to the Board.
